As a student of Kaare Klint, Ole Wanscher drew his inspiration from not only English but classical Egyptian furniture as well. His designs combine traditional materials with a modern aesthetic making his works popular among collectors.

Like Klint, Wanscher led as Professor at the Furniture School at the Royal Academy in Copenhagen. His finest work were made in collaboration with master cabinetmaker A. J. Iversen.
