Finn Juhl
Finn Juhl |
The unofficial father of Danish modernism and the first Danish designer to be recognized internationally, Juhl produced some of the most iconic and revered designs to come out of Denmark during this important time period. Juhl studied architecture at the Royal Academy in Copenhagen yet as a furniture designer, he was for the most art self taught. His influences were derived from the natural environment as well as themes in tribal Africa...something that is evident in his most famous design, the Chieftain Chair.
